It appears as though I must log on each time I get on the board. Is this the case Clayton or is it my computer . Many times I have a problem getting logged on. The username and password is always the same. So frustating. I hate to be a day with out Jimmy's board to read. Gladys

Check your virus protection. Designate the site and the discussion board as "trusted" addresses and you may find it will work.

I find that when I first come on that I am not "logged in" but as soon as I click on one of the threads, I am all set. I have no idea why but have come to accept it as the way it is. Probably I could fix it but I knowing me, I might mess something else up in the process.

On the computer I'm using now, I have to log in everytime. I was using my sister's computer for a time and it would do the same thing yours does, Pam. I'd click on a thread and there I'd be! Don't cha just love technology?

Do you have the box clicked that asks you about logging in everytime? Try clicking on the thread and see if that works without logging in. Let me know. Nina

I don't know about the others, but I have checked the box that says always stay logged in, and I filled out the part at the top of the home page that says user name, password and a box that says forever. It doesn't change anything. When I get to the website and click on message board it still greets me as a guest. As I have said before, once I click on a thread, I am recognized and all is well. While it puzzles me, because I never had that problem until this winter, it really isn't a problem. I don't have to type in my user name and password so all is good.

With me that happens every now and then... a sort of workaround is to use browsers that will fill the log in automatically when you log off.

Let the browser set a cookie and then don't clear it. If you have a browser setting that clears it each time the browser closes, you will have to log in each time. I use FireFox and only allow certain cookies. This clears the ones that I don't want and only keeps the ones from sites I frequent. Go to www.mozilla.com to download it free if you'd like to try it. I LOVE it.
